Winner of Gourmand Best in the World 2011 – Photography
It’s a second tour in gourmand Italy: a trip by tales and images among other taste revolutionaries, people, whole families, young people who chose to defend their own history and the ties with their land, producing wines and excellent food.
In their first book “ Taste-revolutionaries” Marco Salzotto. and Michele Marziani narrate life, history, resistance and passion of a few land farmers, olive growers, salami makers, dairy farmers, wine makers, restaurateurs and traditional inns on the territory all over Italy.
Nowadays increased the number of families believing that even in a global market good, genuine and traditional products can survive. So “Taste-revolutionaries 2” was created – Trip by images through the world of oeno-gastronomy which keeps hold: a new handful of A-level producers joining the group in the former book. About fifty stories of unbelievable choices telling how agriculture and food handicraft represent a very interesting way to preserve environment, know-hows, the genuine regional culture the counties experience and, above all, Italian mountains.
You can taste the goat cheese of Veddasca Valley and then dinner in a typical Occitan inn. You can drink the wines bravely produced in the lands confiscated from Mafia powers. And then you can meet important olive growers producing extra virgin olive oil in the sweet hills of Garda lake and pastry cookers refusing the easy way of industrial mixings. And more, wild pig farmers, innkeepers declaring on the menus where they buy food…..
The “Taste-revolutionaries” born in Brescia county from the brain of the innkeeper Adriano Liloni, are, today, here to stay, spot distributed all over Italy islands included. Preface by Adriano Liloni.
